Sergio Guerrero,

Dr. Guerrero is the former President/Chief Executive Officer of Accelerium Clinical Research, where clinical trials are conducted for the local and international pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in phase 1-4, and bioequivalence studies for new drug and medical devices development in accordance with the US Food & Drug Administration and International Council on Harmonisation good clinical practice guidelines and local regulations. Previously, he was the Director of the Monterrey International Clinical Research Center/OCA Hospital where he was responsible for the research unit to manage a multi-specialty investigator network to conduct clinical trials for the international pharmaceutical and clinical research organization industry.  Dr. Guerrero has also been the Director of Latin America for INC Research, a clinical research organization based in Raleigh, North Carolina; and Director of the Mexican Institute for Clinical Research, a site management organization in Mexico City. He has more than 18 years of experience in clinical research working as a Director, Investigator, Project Manager and Quality Assurance Auditor/Inspector for the international pharmaceutical/ clinical research organization/site management organization industry, developing and implementing processes and procedures to train and manage clinical teams, and monitor the conduct of clinical trials.

Throughout, Dr. Guerrero has been involved in organizing, conducting, and managing clinical trials from phase 1-4 in most therapeutic areas, including endocrinology, dermatology, oncology, infectious disease, neurology, hematology, pediatrics, cardiovascular, biologics, and medical devices. Recently, he has been involved with international organizations developing areas of opportunity in Latin America to conduct clinical trials, and coordinating seminars and scientific events related to the pharmaceutical industry and good clinical practices-International Council on Harmonisation guidelines among medical professionals.

Dr. Guerrero initiated his research career in Bethesda, MD (USA), participating in the organ/tissue transplant technology development that later led him to conduct medical research for a transplant laboratory, where he was responsible to for coordinating and managing the operation according to the requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration.  Dr. Guerrero received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez in Juarez, Mexico.
