Bayard G. Gardineer,
MS, CPA

Mr. Gardineer serves as Chief Financial Officer/ Director of Finance for DIA. He is responsible for overseeing DIA's global finance operations and information technology efforts. Mr. Gardineer previously served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of one of the nation’s largest regional American Red Cross chapters, where he developed strategies for financial stability and provided financial oversight for Upper Division 6 (Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, the National Capital Area and West Virginia), responsible for more than $50 million in annual revenue and $50 million in assets, and oversaw fund-raising operations that generated well over $50 million of humanitarian relief, from the Philadelphia area alone, in response to the Indian Ocean tsunami, Haiti earthquake and Hurricane Katrina.

Mr. Gardineer has also contributed executive financial leadership to Vocaltec Communications (as General Manager/Vice President of Finance), Heraeus Instruments (Corporate Controller/Director of Operations) and Sony Corporation of America (Interim Internal Audit Director/Senior Financial Auditor). He earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany and is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2009, Mr. Gardineer was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal and Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business as Nonprofit CFO of the Year.
