Sarah Dunnett Consulting Ltd, United Kingdom

Understanding the patient community and their needs is the first step in shaping Medical Information services to directly support patients. Whether a company is providing novel medicines for orphan diseases, or established therapies for prevalent conditions, or both, Medical Information functions must be creative and flex their delivery model while staying compliant to the regulations. We’ll start this session hearing the patient perspective from a patient advocacy alliance – we’ll explore patients’ lived experience with a range of neurological conditions, and consider their information needs. A global medical information outsource partner will then share their overview of how different companies deliver medical information support for patients and learn from a pharmaceutical company who have built an innovative and sustainable Medical Information solution for patients.

Learning Objective : To share steps, process, and insights used to stand up a patient facing medical information site. With a focus on lessons learned and innovations.
