Medical affairs organizations within the pharmaceutical industry are emerging to provide patient and physician-centered services as part of a new business model aimed to provide value in health care. The challenges and opportunities for further growth will be analyzed.

Learning Objective : Analyze the most current obstacles in productivity of the pharmaceutical business including the expectations to bring added value services for patient-centered health care; Revise the contributions of the various medical affairs functions for an effective performance; Discuss challenges and required competencies in leveraging the reputation and credibility of the industry in the public opinion.
