This collaborative keynote will ignite in the audience a passion for collaboration in the quest to solving the sustainability challenges of our times. The keynote speakers will show the audience that transforming healthcare to become future-proof requires committed stakeholders at every level, within the industry, including policy and regulatory instances and never forgetting patients. The opening session will highlight how true partnership between stakeholders is the key to finding sustainable ways forward and will dive on what it takes to develop and sustain such partnerships.

Veronique Toully
Veronique Toully
, UCB’s Global Head of Sustainability, Corporate Affairs and Risks

Dr. Veronique Toully spearheads the integration of sustainability within the company strategy at UCB, fostering sustainable business growth through economic, social and environmental perspectives. Join us for an exciting keynote, where Dr. Veronique Toully will share critical insights and the immediate priorities for building sustainability in healthcare.



 

Glenn Wells



Glenn Wells
, Chief Partnerships Officer

 

Glenn Wells, MHRA’s Chief Partnerships Officer is an expert at activating inter-institutional partnerships to deliver solutions for patients. He joined the MHRA in 2021 after working at the UK Medical Research Council (MRC) as Director of Strategy where he developed national partnerships with academia, industry and across government, and built international relationships. Prior to the MRC Glenn also built partnerships while working for the Oxford Academic Health Science Centre and the Wellcome Trust. Delivering Net Zero Healthcare system is a key ambition of the MHRA that requires strong partnerships within the entire Healthcare system. Glenn’s keynote address will illustrate how regulatory agencies can be enablers of environmental sustainability through their collaboration with industry.



Leda Stott
Leda Stott
, Specialist: Partnership and Sustainable Development

Dr. Stott is a Senior Research Fellow at the Innovation and Technology for Development Centre at the Technical University of Madrid, a partnership expert for the European Community of Practice on Partnership, and an Associate of the Partnership Brokers Association.

Over the last 25 years, she has worked in the management, training, and evaluation of partnership projects and processes between different social actors for intergovernmental bodies such as the European Commission, United Nations, and World Bank, as well as bilateral development agencies in Germany, Spain, and the UK, and a wide range of foundations, businesses, and non-governmental organisations.

Leda Stott has a PhD on the topic of partnership from the University of Edinburgh and has taught on postgraduate programmes relating to this theme at universities in the UK, Spain, Norway, and South Africa.
