Toshi Tominaga, PhD is Associate Executive Director for International Programs, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). He supervises the overall strategy and conduct of international operations by PMDA. He joined Japan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare (current MHLW) in 1987, and was seconded to the FDA from 2008-2009. As a career official, he has experienced various important positions in Japan and overseas. He received his MS in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and acquired his PhD in 1987 from the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the University of Tokyo.
