DIA DIRECT: Data Interoperability: A Path to More Efficient Post-COVID Clinical Trials

Decentralized approaches require data integration from multiple sources. Learn how RWE is used to enhance patient diversity in COVID-19 and other clinical trials.

Overview

Difficulties in running clinical trials during the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in an explosion of remote and decentralized approaches, with technology serving as a key enabler. Integration of data from multiple sources facilitates real-time data visualizations and insights that allow us to make more informed decisions. However, herein lies the data interoperability challenge. The panelists will share their experience addressing implementation challenges and ways to overcome them. Join us to hear case studies on how real-world evidence (RWE) – including electronic health records (EHR) and claims databases – is leveraged to rapidly recruit patients and enhance patient diversity in COVID-19 and other clinical trials.
