DIA and ARCS Australia Launch Collaboration to Support the Global Life Sciences Workforce
Partnership expands professional development through international insight, targeted training opportunities, and peer-to-peer connections
WASHINGTON — May 30, 2025 —DIA, a global non-profit organization of life sciences professionals, and ARCS Australia Ltd, the peak body representing life sciences professionals in the MedTech and pharmaceutical sectors, have launched a collaboration to strengthen the global connectivity of the Australian therapeutic goods workforce and expand access to international insight.
The alliance unites ARCS's focus on healthcare education and professional growth with DIA's six decades of experience in global regulatory science and clinical development. Exposure to international perspectives will help ARCS members working in regulatory and medical affairs, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and health technology assessment stay current with shifting regulations and global practices. At the same time, DIA members will gain greater access to experts and knowledge across the Asia-Pacific life sciences community. Members of both organizations will be offered reciprocal membership and benefits on events and professional education.
By working together, both organizations can increase their reach and stakeholder benefit with a larger, more empowered community of regulatory professionals.
"DIA's mission is to drive collaboration in drug, device, and diagnostic development in pursuit of a healthier world," said Marwan Fathallah, DIA's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We bring together stakeholders from around the world to accelerate innovation, and working with ARCS enables us to further that mission by connecting with the vibrant Australian life sciences sector and by sharing global perspectives with a local lens."
The collaboration will include a joint Cell and Gene Therapy Summit to be held in Australia in September 2025 as well as co-hosted webinars and input into training content. The aim is to enrich ARCS Australia's programming with a broader world view and introduce DIA's members to Australian expertise.
"ARCS members work in a global development pipeline, and we are committed to building a globally connected workforce," said Tim Boyle, CEO of ARCS. "This partnership with DIA is about bringing the world to Australia and taking Australia to the world. Our shared commitment to advancing professionalism in the sector makes this collaboration a natural alignment."
