DIA's Educational Programs for Healthcare Professionals Reinforced by ACPE Accreditation, New EMA Service Concession Agreement

New commendation, contract demonstrate DIA's commitment to providing high-quality instruction

WASHINGTON — April 19, 2024 — DIA, a global organization of life sciences professionals, has received accreditation with commendation from the U.S.-based Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and DIA's European office has again been chosen as a training provider by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

These achievements solidify DIA's reputation as a top provider of continuing healthcare education and reflect its ongoing commitment to advancing expertise through innovative learning formats, assessment methods, and global collaborations.

"Remaining a trusted partner of the EMA and earning accolades from the ACPE underscores our dedication to delivering high-quality continuing education," said Marwan Fathallah, President and Global Chief Executive of DIA. "Our programs are meticulously designed to ensure professionals have the skills they need to offer patients the most advanced treatments available and shape the future of healthcare."

Since 2017, DIA has conducted approximately 30 courses and workshops per year on behalf of the EMA for professionals from the pharmaceutical industry, contract research organizations, academia, and regulatory agencies.

DIA will continue providing training on the EudraVigilance system, which manages information on suspected adverse reactions to medicines, as well as the Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS), which streamlines interactions between trial sponsors and regulators. DIA will also keep offering in-person and virtual training courses, workshops, and information days on topics such as risk management and clinical data.

Meanwhile, DIA recently received ACPE's commendation for its continuing pharmacy education program. DIA, which has maintained ACPE accreditation for more than 20 years, was among seven of more than 260 providers to earn this elite status by demonstrating excellence for its continuing professional development processes, including learner engagement tools to foster application in practice and innovative educational formats.

DIA's professional development curriculum integrates a high standard of knowledge- and application-based learning through its live and virtual conferences and events, including its Global Annual Meeting, as well as with its online learning portfolio.
