The Pennsylvania Convention Center is located in the heart of walkable and accessible Center City Philadelphia. The Convention Center is steps from thousands of rooms in a burgeoning hotel community, art institutions such as the Barnes Foundation, Museum of Art and Rodin Museum; dining ranging from celebrity eateries and the Reading Terminal Market; and historic sites such as the Liberty Bell and the National Constitution Center.
Philadelphia is the second-largest city on the East Coast (and sixth-largest in the nation), with a metropolitan population of over 6 million people and a thriving downtown district, known as Center City, that's easy to get to from almost anywhere in the U.S.
Conveniently located in the heart of the Northeast Corridor, Philly lies 80 miles southwest of New York City, 120 miles north of Washington, D.C. and 55 miles west of the New Jersey shore.
More than 80 million people, nearly one-quarter of the U.S. population, live within a six-hour drive of Philadelphia, where international award-winning restaurants, world class arts and cultural institutions and America's most historic square mile await.
Getting to Philadelphia
By Plane
Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is just seven miles from Center City via I-95. The fifth-busiest airport in the Northeast is served by 17 airlines with around 500 daily departures to more than 130 nonstop destinations worldwide, including over 80 domestically.
By Car
With its central location, Philadelphia is remarkably easy to reach by car. Just a two-hour drive from New York City and Baltimore, three hours from Washington, D.C. Served by numerous interstates including the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276), I-76, I-476, I-95, and US Routes 1 and 30.
By Train
Amtrak's William H. Gray III 30th Street Station is minutes from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Both major Northeast Corridor routes stop here: the Northeast Regional Line and high-speed Acela Line. Additional routes include The Pennsylvanian to Pittsburgh and Keystone Service to Harrisburg.
By Bus
Long-distance bus service offered by Greyhound Lines, Megabus and more connects Philadelphia with every Northeastern city. An affordable and comfortable way to arrive while keeping your car at home.
The Best Part: Leave Your Car at Home!
Approximately a quarter of the U.S. population lives within a six-hour drive of Philadelphia, but you don't even have to drive to get here. Hop aboard Amtrak, which provides train service along the Northeast Corridor and from nearly any point west and south (and even Canada).
