Dr. Tjerk Jan Schuitmaker is assistant professor at the Athena Institute of the VU University Amsterdam. He is interested in the system transformation to sustainable health and care and works on a variety of projects in preventive medicine, maternal care and medicine development. He is currently workstream leader within the PARADIGM consortium, dealing with the development of tools for monitoring and evaluating value and impact of patient engagement.
