Dr. Jürgen W.G. Bentz is the Global Head of Medical Information of UCB. As a physician, Jürgen is enthusiastic about the well-being of people suffering from severe diseases to provide the right drug to the right patient at the right time, dosage and duration. While providing solutions to patients is the right thing to do, things must be done in the right way. Jürgen was medically trained with specialization in pharmaceutical medicine, is a graduated chemist and holds a PhD in pharmacology and analytical chemistry. During his professional career, he contributed for more than 25 years to the well-being of patients in several biopharmaceutical companies in multiple medical, clinical and operational roles with increasing responsibility.

Katia is a European Medical Information Capabilities specialist for Eli Lilly. With a background in Genetics, Katia has been working for six years in medical information for the European market in Lilly. Before joining Lilly, she worked in competitive watch for the pharmaceutical market in France. After working on the frontline and specializing in the autoimmune and pain area, she is now involved in the development of the content creation platforms used by the MI team and digital channels. She is passionate about innovating and improving our Medical information customers’.

Marie-Luise is Head of Global Medical Information Key Markets at Sanofi, overseeing operations in Europe, Japan, China, and the Greater Gulf. She previously led Medical Information for Europe after establishing the function in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. In addition to ensuring high-quality information delivery, she is driving the integration of digital media into MedInfo channels. Marie-Luise co-founded the Medical Information subcommittee at the German VFA, is a member of MILE, and has served on the DIA Medical Information Conference program committee for over a decade. Her background also includes leadership roles in Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, and Quality, including work as a Qualified Person.

Michelle is currently the Global Head of Medical Information at Recordati Rare Diseases. She is an advanced practice nurse, toxicologist, and earned her Executive MBA in 2022 and has worked in industry for nearly 20 years in roles including: Medical Device Sales, Med Info, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Affairs. Her most recent areas of interest include increasing the uptake of AI in Med Affairs and in social media strategy for health communication. Michelle is very passionate about Med Info & Med Affairs and is highly motivated by innovative, customer centric ways to support healthcare and non-healthcare professionals around the world to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.

Peter is Director of Business Planning and Communications (EMEA) in Pfizer Medical Information, supporting global and regional operations, and leading their Global Customer Engagement Strategy. Peter has worked in Pfizer MI for over 15 years, covering numerous roles and responsibilities during this time. He is a passionate advocate for MI, the work MI does and the value that it provides to both the customer and the company.

With over 25 years of experience across the pharmaceutical, medical device, & healthcare sectors, Sarah Dunnett is a Medical Operations Consultant supporting Medical Information, Affairs, & Compliance professionals to enhance performance & patient outcomes. A Pharmacist & qualified Medical Signatory, she combines clinical insight with leadership experience as a Regional Director & Cluster Senior Manager. Through Sarah Dunnett Consulting Ltd, she has partnered with nearly thirty companies on projects involving signatory services, SOP development, audits, mentoring, & process improvement. A past President of PIPA, founding member of MILE, & long-time DIA contributor, Sarah is dedicated to advancing excellence & innovation in medical affairs.

Sara is currently Senior Manager, Scientific Programmes at DIA. In the EMEA region, she is responsible for engaging with external stakeholders and advancing the scientific content strategy by creating opportunities to integrate scientific and regulatory changes of interest in DIA initiatives. Additionally, she is responsible for the regional patient engagement and learning design initiatives, being the liason for the Middle East and SEE regions. Previously, she was Public Health Promotion Projects Manager at the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society. Sara is a Master of Pharmacy since 2015 and a Soft skills Trainer since 2012, having delivered over 300h of Training internationally primarily focused on creating impactful interactions.

Trained as PharmD and with post-graduations in Management, Pharmaceutical Medicine, Drug Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Auditing, she has held several leadership roles in pharmaceutical industry for more than 25 years, in areas that include Medical Information, Drug Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing and Compliance. Her experience has allowed a successful leadership of a therapeutic area as well as of several regional & global key projects such as in-house frontline pilot, global operations management for the integration of new products, product specialists internships programmes, medical writing vendors implementation, coordination of internal and external relationship projects, and global patient content strategy.

Beatrice Omisakin is a healthcare leader with over 23 years of experience in clinical pharmacy and global pharmaceutical operations. An expert in Medical Affairs, Digital Transformation, and AI-driven innovation, she develops scalable solutions that enhance patient engagement, HCP connectivity, and real-time medical information. Beatrice leverages technologies such as AI, NLP, and automation to optimize workflows, accelerate decision-making, and deliver measurable business impact. Her roles at Takeda, Novartis, and Bristol-Myers Squibb focused on advancing medical communications and virtual engagement. She is active in the global medical affairs community and a member of MILE and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Steve has a background of working in IT specialising in telecommunications for 20+ years. He has worked for EMEA Pfizer Medical Information for 11 years, previously Steve worked for a publishing and consulting company covering a wide range of services including telecoms. He is responsible for the global Omni-Channel system that our customers call us on. The service is provided in approximately 23 languages, this can be challenging but equally rewarding knowing that we are providing access to Pfizer’s medical information service in their chosen language.

Giovanna Ferrari is a Senior Director at Pfizer with over 15 years’ experience working in the regulatory sector of the pharmaceutical industry, specialising in labelling & product information since 2009. She currently works within the Pfizer International Labeling Group with regional responsibility for Europe and is also the global business owner for the Pfizer process for management of country labeling documents. Externally, Giovanna has represented Pfizer in a wide range of industry forums over the last few years, in particular focussing on e-labelling, and is the industry lead for a highly innovative and patient-focussed digital health information project that is being progressed via an IMI public-private partnership – Gravitate Health

Katie started with TransPerfect 12 years ago in New York City. She moved to London in 2009 to oversee some of TransPerfect’s key life sciences clients across Europe. She is responsible for helping companies create meaningful customer experiences. She manages a team of incredible life sciences account management professionals across Europe. Passionate about driving gender parity in healthcare, Katie sits on the Healthcare Businesswomen Association UK board and oversees Volunteer Engagement and Membership.

Daniell is Global medical Information lead at Viatris (formed by the combination of Pfizer Upjohn and Mylan in Nov 2020) with over 10 years of experience in medical information. Her main responsibilities are implementing the global and regional MI service in terms of structure, processes, and systems, as well as leading, managing and providing strategic direction of GMI team. Previously she worked as head of global content center for global medical information at Pfizer where she managed a team for global content creation/maintenance, and delivering query response to customers. She has great enthusiasm for providing a better MI service to customers by utilizing the new technologies.

Andy is currently the Global Medical Information Lead at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He has worked for over 9 years in the industry. He has had experience at country, regional and global levels. Andy is very passionate about the value that Medical Information can bring both to external and internal customers.

Katie has over 14 years of Medical Information outsourcing experience, as well as contact centre management. Following a degree in Medical Anthropology, Katie started her career straight into the Medical Information division. Katie has extensive experience with working in all the major European markets within Medical Information services. Katie has worked for the last six years as the Director for ProPharma’s European Medical Information service. Currently a European team of 375 people based from our European Medical Information hub using both dedicated and shared working models and multiple MI databases, providing services for over 125 Pharma clients.

Hannah has 9 years’ experience in Medical Affairs, working in Medical Information and Medical Science Liaison roles at country, regional and global levels. Hannah is currently an Associate Director in Medical Information at PTC Therapeutics Inc, where she leads the EMEA-APAC region and acts as the team’s Global content lead. Hannah’s background in biochemistry has proved invaluable working for companies with a focus in rare diseases where Medical Information teams extensively support the business with disease awareness and patient finding. Beyond work, Hannah volunteers for a suicide prevention charity, reinforcing her commitment to offering compassionate support in PTC's patient communications project.

Dana Weber specializes in performance marketing, and has lead digital marketing solutions for some of the world’s most notable brands (across industries) including JnJ, Sanofi, Genentech, AWS, Western Union, AMEX, and many more. Dana leads the TPT Digital Client Solutions team at TransPerfect, and knows what it takes to generate business outcomes in any market or language, with a data-led ROI mindset.

I am pharmacist by profession and have worked in the USA, Kenya and Ireland. I am currently working for Eli Lilly and Company, in the European Medical Information Department. I am part of the content team and love my work!

Gaurav is Global Medical Information System lead, responsible for end-to-end MI process at UCB. A pharmacy graduate with PhD in pharmacology was a passionate neuroscientist in epilepsy & cognitive impairment at UCB and J&J & published over 15 peer-reviewed manuscripts before his MI role at GSK – 2nd line support & global content for many vaccines. Transforming MI into a simple and simplified “process and content” in MI is a real passion for him. Gaurav led replacement of MI systems with new systems (Salesforce & Veeva MedComms) and its successful launch & implementation across >35 countries at UCB. He enjoys resolving issues that users face in the MI systems on daily basis and further improving the systems for users.

Elizabeth Olbrich, RN, MS, is known for engaging teams through hands-on leadership and conviction to do what it takes to produce quality output and achieve milestones. She has earned reputation for fostering positive vendor/client relationships, establishing and leading teams, and vendor performance turn-around. Elizabeth has provided strategic leadership for global medical writing, CRO partnerships, and quality control activities. She currently oversees a global medical information program involving 12 medical writers and editors who deliver over 1,000 annual documents while exceeding client KPIs.

Diane Wiseman is the Global Medical Information Leader at Roche Products, specializing in neuroscience and rare diseases. She ensures that medical information enquiries in these therapy areas are handled consistently and to a high standard by MI Cluster members, while also creating and maintaining standard responses for multiple products. Passionate about training and education, Diane collaborated with her colleague Anita Lewis to develop an interactive training curriculum covering all roles, from new starters to experienced MI professionals. Their modules, including literature searching and safety document training, are available to medical affairs, safety colleagues, and all customer-facing teams

Miriam has a background in Molecular and Reproductive Biology and has previously worked in Science Communication. She has worked in Pfizer Medical Information for the last 19 years, working across customer-facing, medical writing and operational roles. Miriam is currently the Operations Lead for Europe and Canada ensuring that our MI systems, digital channels and tools as well as our MI teams are ready for the future evolution of MI. Miriam is still motivated by both Science Communication and Medical Information and is passionate about empowering patients and Health Care Professionals access to scientific education through established and digital solutions.

Anita has 14 years' experience in various Medical Information roles at Roche, including MI affiliate, management and global positions. Anita is passionate about the value MI teams can bring to healthcare professionals, and ultimately patient's lives. She's committed to training affiliates and facilitating collaborations within the MI network at Roche, to ensure the network offers exceptional customer service.

Jill is a medical information professional with more than 30 years’ experience in international, regional and affiliate roles in pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as 9 years providing strategic business and medical consultancy services. Jill has held leadership roles in medical communications, medical information and health informatics. Currently Jill is on assignment to Patient Engagement responsible for involving patients in the decision-making processes to develop treatments that will address real unmet needs. Jill is also the Past-President of the MILE association (Medical Information Leaders in Europe), a cross-industry collaboration.

Evelyn R. Hermes-DeSantis, PharmD, BCPS, is the Director for Research and Publications for phactMI and Professor Emerita at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She is dedicated to advancing and elevating the practice of medical information. She received both a BS in Pharmacy and a PharmD from Rutgers and completed a Drug Information specialty residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond, Virginia prior to working at the University of Utah Hospital Drug Information Service. For 25 years she was the Director of Drug Information Services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and a Clinical Professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers.
