Janet is responsible for the Medical Information function in the European region, which responds to requests from healthcare professionals and patients about Gilead’s medicines. She is a Nominated Medical Signatory for Gilead. Janet is recognised globally as a leader in Medical Information in the pharmaceutical industry. She is an active member of PIPA (Pharmaceutical Information and Pharmacovigilance Association) and the DIA. She chaired the annual DIA Medical Information and Communications conference in Europe from 2006 to 2011, 2016 to 2019. In 2012 Janet was given an Outstanding Service award by the DIA. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 2017 in recognition of her contribution to pharmacy.

He is registered with the medical councils in the UK and South Africa. He is the President of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region of the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS), on the Executive Leadership Committee of MAPS and an affiliate member of the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS).

This area brings special challenges since doctors and patients need to understand the results of the AI systems so that they will trust them. In the past Doug has worked on research and development for IT-security technologies and networking. He has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

After completing her training as biochemist and cancer research scientist, she gathered additional experience in change management within Medical Affairs. Heading the Global Medical Information Operations Group at Merck, she now drives innovation and digitization in the field of Medical Information at the company with the aim of meeting the needs of our current and future customers to ultimately enable the best possible patient care.

In these positions, I have worked in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, my career started as a production pharmacist in South Africa.
