It explains the role of Medical Affairs in an evolving pharmaceutical industry, including its organizational function, the specific areas it serves, and the roles Medical Affairs professionals fill. A discussion of how ICH E6(R3) has elevated Medical Affairs from a support function to a strategic scientific partner is integrated throughout the module.
