The DIA Africa Access Summit 2026 brings together healthcare leaders, government officials, regulators, patient organizations, academia, development partners, and industry stakeholders to advance equitable and sustainable access to healthcare innovation across Africa.

The DIA Africa Access Summit 2026 aims to:

• Advance sustainable patient access to medical products and health innovation across Africa by addressing barriers across the access pathway.
• Strengthen cross-sector collaboration among the stakeholders responsible for developing, evaluating, financing, producing, delivering, and enabling access to medical products.
• Exchange practical approaches and experiences that can strengthen the systems and partnerships supporting medical product access across Africa.
• Connect challenges and solutions across the ecosystem, recognizing the interdependencies among regulatory, clinical, financial, technological, and operational factors affecting access.
• Translate dialogue into action by identifying shared priorities, practical next steps, and opportunities for continued collaboration beyond the Summit.

Improving patient access requires more than scientific innovation or regulatory approval. It requires the different parts of the healthcare ecosystem to work together so that innovation can be developed, evaluated, financed, procured, delivered, and ultimately reach the patients who need it.

The DIA Africa Access Summit 2026 provides a neutral forum for stakeholders who do not always have the opportunity to engage with one another in the same setting. Government and regulatory leaders, healthcare and public health stakeholders, industry, patients and communities, researchers, manufacturers, procurers, development partners, funders, and investors will examine different parts of the access pathway while considering how those parts connect.
