This session will explore innovative strategies to enhance patient safety communication and stakeholder engagement within pharmacovigilance systems. It will address how to effectively communicate safety risks to special populations, including patients in home-administration programs. The session will also highlight the role of patient associations and alternative communication channels in improving risk awareness and reporting.

Learning Objective :
  • Identify at least three key strategies for communicating safety risks to special patient populations (e.g., rare diseases, home-administration)
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of alternative communication channels (e.g., patient associations) in reaching and engaging these populations
  • Design a tailored patient and caregiver engagement approach to support effective safety communication (e.g., rare diseases, home-administration)
