This session will provide an overview of how stakeholders view the environment for health care decision-making, an in-depth look at how payers view and use comparative effectiveness research (CER) studies for these decisions, and an innovative way to collect the patient data needed for these CER studies.
Learning Objective : Describe stakeholder views on the impact of comparative effectiveness research (CER) for health care decision-making; Discuss how payers consider and use CER to make decisions; Define models for collection of real-world, observational data directly through patients.
