Standards for medical information departments are critical elements in the conduct of medical information activities to ensure the provision of highquality responses to healthcare professionals and patients in an ethical way. The speakers will share their views on this topic and their experience, more specifi cally in the handling of medical queries with a safety component and the need for tailor-made responses to specifi c inquiries. The impact of standards for promotional/non-promotional review on medical communications, in general, including medical information, will be discussed as well.
