In October 2014, the European Union adopted a strategy that calls for voluntary HTA bodies and stakeholders to produce joint assessments of clinical evidence. How far will these assessments serve the needs of those bodies making the appraisals and the final decision on uptake of technologies? Is the final aim to have one single step approach? Different perspectives from EU, national actor, industry will be discussed.
