DIA Europe 2021 Call for General Abstracts

Abstract submission deadline
Wednesday, 10 June 2020, 23:59 CET

The Programme Committee and the DIA Team has highlighted 9 therapeutic areas and 9 priority topics within their educational tracks to provide direction on content they would like to receive via the Call for Abstracts. You may submit session abstracts addressing relevant topics, mentioned here. Submissions will be reviewed and considered for inclusion in the Programme by the Topic Leads and DIA Team.

General Submission Requirements
Please read the following instructions carefully; incorrect or incomplete abstracts will not be considered:
1. All abstracts must be submitted online. The deadline for abstract submissions is Wednesday, 10 June 2020, 23:59 CET. This deadline will not be extended.
2. Submitted abstracts must not overtly endorse or recommend a specific product or service.
3. Proposed abstract title must reflect the abstract content accurately and concisely.
4. Author of the accepted abstract will receive a one day complimentary registration for the day of their scheduled presentation. A special upgrade registration fee will be made available for those interested in attending the entire DIA Europe, Basel, Switzerland, 17-19 March 2021.

Submission Categories
DIA is accepting proposal in abstract form for:

  • Sessions
    A session abstract is delivered forum, panel discussion or lecture-style. The abstract author acts as session chair to coordinate efforts in recruiting speakers and manage the session (including the facilitation of question and answers from the audience). PowerPoint presentations are required (except for forum, panel discussion sessions)
    Session length: 60 minutes
    Required number of speakers: 2-5
    Presentation title of each presenter should be included at end of the abstract details section.
  • Workshops
    A workshop abstract is designed for hands-on learning with a focus on application. The abstract author is considered the workshop chair and ensures the workshop provides onsite learning in the form of activities or demonstrations, including handouts.
    Session length: 60 minutes
    Required number of speakers: 2-4
    Presentation title of each presenter should be included at end of the abstract details section.
  • Presentations
    A presentation abstract is a presentation covering a specific topic area, and the speaker is the abstract author. Presentation will be scheduled in one of the Content Hub’s programme.
    Presentation length: 15 minutes
    Required number of speaker: 1

Notification Date
Submitters will be notified of the status of each abstract no later than the week ending August 21, 2020. Please note that DIA and the DIA Europe Program Committee have the right to request authors to revise abstracts. Potential revisions include direction of topic, blending with another submission, or revising the proposed level of difficulty.
