Jessie CHEN

Zhaohua Chen (Jessie) is Head of Development China, and General Manager of Pfizer (China) Research and Development Co., Ltd. She is accountable for building a compliant, effective and efficient develop organization which collaborates and aligns with global teams with the goal of successful product registration in China. She is leading the multifunctional Development China (DC) Organization, including Clinical Sciences, China Clinical Development Quality, Clinical Trial Management, Clinical Pharmacology, Strategy and Tech Innovation and Project Management.

Jessie joined Pfizer in Feb 1999, 20 years till present, and her responsibility covered clinical operations, SOP, APAC training, global clinical data management, portfolio project management, etc. Jessie served as Chief Medical Officer at Innovent Biologics (Su Zhou) Co. Ltd from 2017-2018, responsible for managing end-to-end clinical development and quality, as well as post-marketing medical and pharmacovigilance. She re-joined Pfizer in the end of 2018.

Jessie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicines from Capital University of Medical Sciences and she has practiced internship at Tiantan hospital and as an internal medicine physician for three years at Puren Hospital.
