Our Commitment to Sustainability

At DIA Europe 2027, we believe that bringing the life sciences community together comes with a responsibility to do so thoughtfully. We are committed to delivering an event experience in Basel that is inspiring, impactful, and environmentally conscious.

Environmental Actions
We aim to minimise our environmental footprint by:
  • Hosting a paperless event, using a dedicated app instead of printed materials
  • Providing digital agendas and QR codes via the MYDIA app
  • Reducing the use of single-use plastics throughout the event

    Our catering approach focuses on quality, sustainability, and responsible sourcing:
  • Seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
  • A variety of vegetarian and plant-forward options
  • Measures in place to reduce and manage food waste

    Travel & Mobility
    We encourage participants to make more sustainable travel choices:
  • Prefer train travel over flights, as Basel is well connected by rail across Europe
  • Use public transport instead of taxis
