Augusto Geyer, MSc

Augusto Geyer, PharmD, MSc is the Head of Medical Devices Office at the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA). Between 2017 and 2022 he served as Senior Advisor and Deputy General Manager of the Office of Medical Devices. Between 2014 and 2017 he served as Manager at the Office of In Vitro Diagnostics. Since 2005, when he joined ANVISA as Specialist in Regulation and Health Surveillance, he represents the Office of Medical Devices in international technical working groups and committees of IMDRF, ISO, WHO and other organizations. His educational background includes Pharmacy Degree, specialization in Sanitary Law, and a Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
