According to metrics experts, the first step in creating an effective measurement for a selected patient engagement effort is to determine how the metric will be used. Who needs the information, and what will resonate with them? In this session, approaches or models for developing patient engagement metrics in varying phases of the clinical research process will be examined. Strategies and planning for dissemination of the metrics and sharing the results within and outside of organizations will be discussed.

Learning Objective : At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
Identify at least one key stakeholder who needs information about a selected patient engagement effort and the objective(s) for providing the information
Analyze the selected engagement process and intended outcomes to identify critical data that can drive measures
Outline a plan for sharing and optimizing use of metrics results within their organization
