This Short Course will be offered virtually – Join from anywhere! This short course will enable leaders to accelerate the development of critical thinking skills across their organizations. Clinical Research Leaders are asking “how do I, as a leader, help improve critical thinking skills across my staff?” This short course is for those leaders. We start with the basics and deconstruct critical thinking into building blocks: 1) Answers to why we need to become better critical thinkers, 2) Delve into the problem solving and strategic aspects of critical thinking, and 3) Provide a systematic method for improving critical thinking skills. This first part of the short course serves as a foundation and provides Clinical Research Leaders with a common framework and lexicon for discussing and coaching critical thinking skill development within their organizations.

The rest of the short course focuses on what leaders need to do to accelerate the development of critical thinking skills across their organizations. We go beyond familiar leadership-tactics like required critical thinking training and expectations setting. We take the approach that all Clinical Research Leaders should generally be oriented towards the goal of delivering new medicines to patients that need them. From that approach, we role-play techniques to simulate how leaders need to behave and the cultures they need to champion to accomplish that goal.

Our scenarios include key aspects of: 1) Clinical site dynamics, 2) Sponsor oversight of service providers, and 3) Managing significant quality issues. We chose these 3 scenarios because ineffective critical thinking in any of these areas can greatly jeopardize the ability to get new medicines approved for the patients we collectively serve in the biopharma industry.

Register for two or more Short Courses and receive $50 off each Short Course! Purchases must be made at the same time to receive the discount. Discounts will be reflected on the last page of the cart.
