The Institute of Medicine (IOM) has recently released guidelines and recommendations for responsible sharing of clinical trial data in a report titled Sharing Clinical Trial Data: Maximizing Benefits, Minimizing Risk.  The report offers a practical framework to help create an environment of data sharing amongst various researchers and other collaborators, which may ultimately lead to advancements in scientific discovery and improved clinical development and patient care.

During this live panel discussion, experts from industry, academia, government, and patient advocate groups, including members of the IOM Committee that helped to create the report, will share their reactions to the report and will describe how the recommendations may impact their particular stakeholder roles.  The panelists will not only answer questions about the report that have been submitted prior to the live panel, but also will be available to answer questions that arise during the event.
