Menu Back to Global-Anti-bribery

A UL course

This course covers the two main provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and common components of anti-bribery laws around the world. Global costs related to corruption total an estimated $2.6 trillion annually, with more than $1 trillion paid in bribes each year. Bribery, extortion, and other corrupt practices add up to 10 percent of the total cost of doing business globally and up to 25 percent of the cost of procurement contracts in developing countries. Corruption inhibits competition, undermines the rule of law, breeds cynicism among citizens, and hinders development and poverty-reduction efforts, especially in developing nations. This course will help participants recognize when to report a violation and the consequences of violating an anti-bribery law.
