It is expected that healthcare will make dramatic progress by utilization of IT in the future. If enormous amount of healthcare data is digitized, processed, and structured with the use of artificial intelligence, big data, and IoT (Internet of Things), clinical, research, education, and even patients will make an ecosystem, which realizes various forms of services by IT . In this keynote lecture, the future of healthcare, especially the future of drug and medical device development will be described from the viewpoint of medical informatics.
