The first session of the conference will set the stage for the rest of the discussions, and demonstrate how the various topics are connected, by exploring the topic of regulatory convergence from the World Health Organization (WHO) perspective. The presenter will give an update on various WHO initiatives that have been launched to help facilitate convergence and harmonization amongst international regulatory authorities. This talk will also cover the WHO Prequalification Program, which aims to make quality priority medicines available for the benefit of those in need.
