DIA, the premier professional community for global health care product development, announced today the appointment of Sudip Parikh, PhD as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for DIA Americas.  Dr. Parikh will lead DIA's strategic efforts to grow and evolve thought leadership and knowledge platforms in the Americas region. 

Prior to joining DIA, Dr. Parikh served as Vice President and General Manager of Health & Consumer Solutions at Battelle. He led Battelle’s Healthcare Improvement, Public Health Research, and Consumer, Industrial, and Medical Technology Development teams comprised of over 600 scientists and researchers dedicated to engaging cutting-edge science and technology to improve and protect the human condition in the US and around the world. Before his tenure at Battelle, Dr. Parikh served for nine years as Science Advisor and Professional Staff to the United States Senate Appropriations Committee and in various positions at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Parikh serves on the Boards of several organizations, including Research America; the Food Innovation Center; and the Friends of Cancer Research. Dr. Parikh holds a B.S., Materials Applied Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC and was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow while earning a Ph.D., Macromolecular Structure and Chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA.
