A UL EduNeering course
This course provides guidance on the Advanced Medical Technology Association’s (AdvaMed) code of ethics on interactions with health care professionals, which were updated in 2008. AdvaMed represents companies involved in all stages of production and marketing of medical products and related services—products used to diagnose and treat health conditions and disabilities. The course covers new provisions in the code related to appropriate and inappropriate interactions between health care professionals and representatives of medical technology companies. Other covered topics include prohibitions on entertainment, recreation, and gifts to health care professionals; guidelines for entering into royalty arrangements; and limits on providing evaluation and demonstration products.
