Populations are ageing thereby increasing the need to provide the elderly with effective and safe medicines. Frailty may limit the participation in clinical trials and other ways of gaining knowledge need to be explored despite obvious recruitment challenges. This session will focus on clinical development in the elderly and how it can be optimised. Through specific practical case examples this session will provide an insight on how to improve recruitment, how to innovate when collecting data or when designing studies by use of Modelling and Simulation.
