Pharmacovigilance capacity building in low- to middle-income countries requires innovative methods and a willingness to prioritize in a different way to the countries where PV guidances are often first issued. The health considerations are different, the communication technologies are different, and public health emergencies often stretch the scarce resources. Eric Perakslis, PhD, will share his perspectives and experience from working with a range of NGOs including MSF and developing data collection systems during the Ebola crisis.
