Pfizer boosts drug access to world's poorest countries
Pfizer announced that its full portfolio of drugs will be offered at a not-for-profit price to 45 of the poorest countries in the world, including its oral cancer treatments and chemotherapies, as part of the expansion of their program known as "An Accord for a Healthier World" that aims to boost access to innovative treatments for the benefit of some. Meanwhile, reports indicate that COVID-19 patients in China continue to have difficulty in gaining access to the company's oral anti-viral drug Paxlovid through official channels. Reuters (1/17)
