CMS makes plans to reimburse for COVID-19 vaccines

CMS Administrator Seema Verma said the agency will ensure Medicare beneficiaries get access to COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. Current policy prohibits Medicare from reimbursing for products approved under emergency use designations, but "we're working across the entire agency -- not just Medicare but Medicaid and even private insurers -- to ensure there are no barriers to individuals getting vaccines," Verma said.
