Poster Presenter

Objectives

Provide a clear understanding of: the value of the metrics of today’s patient recruitment management systems; how the value of those metrics differ between studies; and essentials for establishing the most appropriate KPIs for your clinical trial and how to use the data to maximize performance.

Method

Using case studies across a wide range of therapeutic areas and indications, and looking at the parallel metrics for each, this poster session will provide insight about how best to set study enrollment expectations for your study with all your stakeholders.

Results

Through an analysis of case studies from recent patient recruitment efforts (across a range of therapeutic indications) findings confirm that not every metric has the same qualitative value from project to project, and key performance indicators may need to be tailored to the sponsor’s specific goals and objectives for a given study. The results reinforce the notion that KPIs need to be determined and assessed on a per study basis in order to maximize study performance.

Conclusion

Patient recruitment management systems that provide exacting performance metrics for all aspects of clinical trial management are now state-of-the-art. As such, they offer clinical trials managers, clinical operations executives, and other key members of a study community unprecedented ability to identify, quantify, track, and act on the performance not only of media, but also sites and CROs. But not every metric has the same qualitative value from project to project, and key performance indicators may need to be tailored to the sponsor’s specific goals and objectives for a given study. Using case studies across a wide range of therapeutic areas and indications, and looking at the parallel metrics for each, this session will provide insight about how best to set study enrollment expectations for your study with all your stakeholders.
