Jonathan Sheldon,

Jonathan Sheldon, PhD, is Senior Vice President and member of the Executive Committee at QIAGEN. In this role, he leads the Bioinformatics Business Unit as well as participates on the governing body of QIAGEN responsible for defining corporate strategy. Previously, Dr. Sheldon was Global Vice President Healthcare at Oracle, responsible for the healthcare business globally within the Health Sciences Global Business Unit. Dr. Sheldon has also held various CXO positions in software companies serving both life science and healthcare sectors where he has led the company's overall strategic direction. Prior to the software industry, Dr. Sheldon was Head of Bioinformatics for five years at Roche (UK) Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Sheldon has been an invited speaker at over 100 international conferences and served on various advisory groups and boards including as a Director of the tranSMART Foundation. Dr. Sheldon earned his PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Cambridge.
