As an example of looking at other sources for job candidates, a recent article pointed out that service veterans rate high on these skills: attention to detail, integrity, leadership problem solving and dependability. While these may not be the “experience” required you typically see in a job posting; hiring managers indicate a high value on these attributes. These “soft skills” can be the difference that makes employees exceed job performance standards.
