To realize healthcare truly valuable to patients, a more patient-centric approach to clinical trials/clinical research is one of the essential steps. Outside Japan, even a mobile app is now available, which enables patients to find a clinical trial targeting the disease they suffer from or to look for their nearest study site. In this session, we will look at how a patient-centric approach can make clinical trials/clinical research more relatable to patients. We will also introduce some useful mobile apps, websites, and data use ideas for Patient Participation and data collection. A panel discussion will be held to discuss the possible challenges these tools must overcome to be widely used in Japan.
