DIA China 2013 - 5th Annual Meeting to be held in Beijing May 12-15

Beijing, China — May 6, 2013

Seven days remain until the DIA China 2013 - 5th Annual Meeting comes to Beijing, bringing together key opinion leaders and scientists in the global pharmaceutical industry, government, regulatory agencies, and life sciences organizations on a neutral global platform.

The DIA China 2013 – 5th Annual Meeting, co-sponsored by the China Center for Pharmaceutical International Exchange (CCPIE) of the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), will be held at the Beijing International Convention Center from May 12 to 15.

The meeting will feature 15 themes with more than 40 sessions. Discussions will centre on the main theme: “Patient Safety – A Sustained Focus from Scientific Ideas to Innovative Medicines” alongside a vast array of hot topics, including better public health protection, patient benefits, best practices, and compliance in alignment with science and regulations.

The conference will feature keynote speeches from:

  • Professor  Guowei SANG, MD, President, Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (CPA), Academician, Chinese Academy of Engineering. Professor SANG will present “Encourage Drug Innovation and Ensure Patient Safety”.
  • Dr. Patrizia Cavazzoni, Senior Vice President for Safety and Established Products Regulatory at Pfizer Inc, USA, on the topic “Risk Management Planning Spurs Innovation and Enables Patient Safety”
  • Lin MENG, Director of Ark of Love Information Center, General Secretary of China Alliance of People Living with HIV/AIDS, and NGO Representative of Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) of the Global Fund China, presenting on the “Status and Expectations About ARV Treatment for People Living With HIV”
Other highlights at the event include the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) Town Hall; six excellent preconference workshops; more than 60 exhibits; and professional and student posters.
