White Papers

What is a White Paper?

A white paper is a persuasive essay, developed by an organization to highlight issues around a particular problem and provides useful information for readers looking to understand this problem and enhance job performance. It can be based on a specific business practice, service, product or technology and is educational in nature.

There is no standard format for white paper preparation or subject matter but it typically presents data supported by facts, figures and statistics in a reasonable discussion of the topic.

White papers usually run at least 6 pages, around 2500 words,  but can be more in depth if the subject matter requires a lengthier discussion. There are usually no direct quotes and is written in a narrative voice.
